The Toledo Polish Genealogical Society will meet Saturday, March 15, from 10 a.m. to noon, at St. Michael’s School Hall, 420 Sandusky Street Toledo Local preservationist and historian Jeffery Green will present “Symbols, Ciphers, and Stone: Secrets of the Cemetery.”
He will discuss different types of headstones and the symbols that often adorn them. He also will explore the evolution of the rural cemetery movement and the symbols, ciphers, and secrets they hold for genealogists.
