The Toledo Polish Genealogical Society (TPGS) invites the public to their next meeting on Saturday, October 18, from 10 a.m. to noon, for their monthly presentation at St. Michael’s School Hall, 420 Sandusky Street, Toledo.
The presentation is titled “Be Careful When Climbing a Family Tree.” Many genealogy databases offer access to family trees created and published by other users. While individuals may find some common ancestors and some clues about their family, they also can’t know for certain the accuracy of that information. Many people fail to document the information they gather during their research. TPGS member Joyce Hojnicki will demonstrate how to be discerning and careful when using others' family trees for information.
