Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has reappointed two Lucas County residents to respective state advisory boards for the State of Ohio.
S. Zaheer Hasan of Waterville has been reappointed to the advisory board of the governor’s office of faith-based and community initiatives.
Established in 2016, the office and corresponding board assist local Ohio community organizations in gathering funding for charitable services, as well as helping bridge the gaps between governmental entities and charitable organizations.
Dr. Hasan is a licensed physician and neurologist who has been practicing in the Toledo area for more than 30 years.
Brian D. Royer of Toledo has been reappointed to the chiropractic loan repayment advisory board.
Established in 2020, the board assists the state government in providing strategies to manage the loans of chiropractors in the state of Ohio, including providing incentives in underserved areas and other financial endeavors. Dr. Royer has been a chiropractic physician, operating in the Sylvania and Toledo area since 2005.
Dr. Hasan’s term will continue through May of next year, while Dr. Royer’s term will end in 2025.
