A Springfield Township senior is among four St. John’s Jesuit High School graduates to be named valedictorian for the Class of 2024. The other three were Andrew Balcerzak and Eddie Heywood of Maumee and Sean Pollex of Sylvania.
Andrew attended Springfield Local Schools before transferring to St. John’s in 2021. He was active in musical theater, served as drum major for the Marching Titans and participated in other musical ensembles, including the indoor drumline, concert band and jazz band.
He was a volunteer at Sylvania Area Family Services through the Christian service program, helping to provide access to food, regardless of financial situation.
Andrew plans to study computer science at Case Western Reserve University.
