Wicked Wheels car show set for Aug. 7

Springfield Township is shifting into high gear for the annual Wicked Wheels car show, which will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 7.

This year, Wicked Wheels is relocating from Springfield High School to Community Homecoming Park, 7807 Angola Road.

“We intend to preserve the aspects of the show that have made it successful, including sharing a portion of the proceeds to support Blue Devil Radio, involving booster groups and students in tasks such as registration,” said trustee Andy Glenn. “It really is a win win.”

Free and open to the public, the show will feature antique and classic cars as well as exotic, hot rods and race cars.

For those planning to enter a vehicle in the show, the entry fee is $5. Vehicles should arrive between 3 and 4:30 p.m.

Food trucks will be on site beginning at 4, and the show wraps up with awards presented at 7:15 p.m.
