Wildlife refuge to host recycling event June 11

The Friends of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge will hold a Refuge Recycle Round Up on Saturday, June 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Some of the electronics items accepted include: computers/ servers, keyboards and mice, monitors/displays, cell phones, video game consoles, printers, stereo equipment, and projectors. TVs and CRT monitors will not be accepted.

Textile items accepted include anything made from cloth or artificial fabric like vinyl and may be brought in garbage bags. The cost of $10 per carload will support conservation efforts at the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge.

The group will receive cash per pound for recycled textiles. The recycling effort is supported by Recycle I.T. USA Toledo LLC and Clothes Bin Ohio. The event will be held rain or shine near the visitor center at 14000 West State Route 2, Oak Harbor.

The Wildlife Drive also will be open on June 11.
