The Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) of Northwest Ohio and Owens Community College will partner to provide in-person courses for individuals seeking to earn a child development associate (CDA) certification and a full associate’s degree.
Students will be equipped with essential resources through Ohio’s Aspire tuition- free college prep course offered by Owens, and will receive a YWCA backpack, CDA textbooks, portfolio materials and access to Owens library and learning lab.
The YWCA will provide assistance for portfolio coursework, CDA exam preparation and classroom observation.
“We are thrilled to partner with Owens Community College to offer this transformative opportunity to individuals seeking to enhance their skills in early childhood education,” said Suzanne Gall, YWCA director of child care resource and referral. “The YWCA /Owens CDA to Associates program provides a comprehensive pathway for individuals to thrive in the field of early childhood education.”
