March is Women’s History Month
The month of March is known as Women’s History Month. During this month, many educators take the time to research and recognize the accomplishments of women from the past and present.
Some of the teachers at Crissey, decorated their classroom doors as a tribute to the contributions of women in the areas of medicine, creative arts, science, entertainment, sports, politics and countless other areas.
Interesting fact: the National Women’s History Alliance designates a yearly theme for Women’s History Month. The 2021 theme is a continuation of 2020’s: “Valiant Women of the Vote: Refusing to Be Silenced.” This theme recognizes the battle for women’s suffrage, which was gained with the passage of the 19th amendment in 1920. — History.com
