Celebrities are EVERYWHERE
Mrs. Thomas’s class was blessed recently with a visit from Bonita Sparks Adams who, in addition to leading the Springfield High School business department, also is the author of several books including her newest, “Aria’s and Grandmommy’s Adventures—Solving the Mystery of Fire: The Good and The Bad.”
During her visit, Mrs. Adams read the book to the class and also hand delivered a copy of the book to each of the students. This generous gift was made possible by Mike Langenderfer, owner of the Countertop Shop in Holland. Mr. Langenderfer met Mrs. Adams a few years ago through their mutual membership in the district’s business advisory council. When he heard about her book, co-authored by her granddaughter, he offered to donate a copy for students in several classrooms throughout Springfield Schools. I know Mrs. Thomas and her students thoroughly enjoyed learning about Aria, listening to the story, and also receiving a copy of the book for their very own. We are blessed to have such talented people on our Springfield staff who are willing to share their gifts with our students.
