On June 3, the Village of Holland in conjunction with the Dwelling Place kicked off the 2022 Picture in the Park film series with the animated film “Madagascar.”
Hundreds of area residents, above, turned out for the event, which featured family activities including balloon animals, facepainting and puppets. Popcorn, hot dogs and beverages were served prior to the film. At left, Esther King had her face painted in colors that matched her outfit.
The next film in the summer series will be shown at dusk, Friday, July 1 with family activities and entertainment beginning at 7 p.m.
“We’re going to have a special theme next month and it’s going to be Christmas in July,” explained Pastor Roger Trowbridge of the Dwelling Place. “We will be showing the movie Elf.”
Moviegoers are asked to bring folding chairs and blankets for the featured presentation at Strawberry Acres Park, 950 South McCord Road, Holland.
