The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority has tapped Tim O’Donnell, AAE, as the new airport director for Toledo Executive and Eugene F. Kranz Toledo Express Airports.

Mr. O’Donnell is 28-year aviation industry professional with a strong track record across various airports. Most recently, he served as deputy director, Airfield Compliance at Detroit Metropolitan Airport and Willow Run Airport.

Prior to his time at those airports, he served eight-years as vice president of operations at South Bend International Airport. In this role, he had management responsibility for more than 40 team members within operations, public safety and maintenance departments.

During this tenure, Mr. O’Donnell was responsible for the development of a capital improvement plan in excess of $100 million which included projects related to runway rehabilitation, taxi realignment and terminal ramp reconstruction. He also served in leadership roles at Fort Wayne International Airport and Smith Field Airport between 2005 and 2013.

Mr. O’Donnell earned a bachelor of science degree in aviation management from Eastern Michigan University. He also earned the coveted accredited member of the American Association of Airport Executives designation (AAE) where he served on the board of directors.
