SCHOOL NEWS
Welcome–we are looking forward to getting the 2022-23 school year started. Everyone at Holloway is excited to make this transition to a preschool through third grade building a reality, and can’t wait to both meet so many new families and see familiar faces.
As we get things started, students will participate in JumpStart appointments. These JumpStart appointments replace our traditional open house, and will provide some great one-on-one time for all to become reacquainted. When students come for their appointment, they can drop off their supplies and meet their teacher. Parents will be able to pay fees, fill out forms (computers will be provided), tour the building, meet staff members and wait for students to finish their assessments. Any families who need support with supplies, we can help. We have had a recent donation from the First Baptist Church of Greater Toledo that will be available for pick up during the JumpStart days, along with supplies always being available from the office, if students need to replenish items throughout the year.
As we look to officially get things started, please keep the following in mind: Tuesday, August 30: all students first through third grades in session and kindergarten boys. Wednesday, August 31: all students first through third grades in session and kindergarten girls. Thursday, September 1: all students in session.
Monday, September 5: no students in session–Labor Day.
Building Hours
The building will open at 8:30 a.m. for students going to breakfast (menus will soon be posted).
All students may enter at 8:45 a.m., with the tardy bell ringing at 9 a.m.
Dismissal will start at 3:30 p.m., with students who are picked up being dismissed first.
We’re doing all that we can to make this the best year yet for our Holloway Hornets.
