On Friday, August 26, the Lucas County Operating Vehicles Intoxicated (OVI) Task Force is conducting two sobriety checkpoints.
These checkpoints are at 2105 North McCord Road in Springfield Township and 3 Turtle Creek Road in Swanton Township. They are in operation from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. and staffed with officers from the task force.
The program is paid for through the OVI Task Force Grant from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
