New Opportunities
With almost everything, including a new school year, comes new opportunities. Now that Springfield Middle School and Springfield High School are no longer on the same time schedule, we studied a variety of options to make needed adjustments to support what will be the new traffic flow.
SMS buses will now use the “U” directly in front of SMS, while car riders for SMS will drop students in the lot by the visitor parking lot, just in front of SMS. Students attending Holland Intermediate will have their own traffic pattern, to reduce any congestion that might arise. Our directors of safety and transportation will progress monitor the flow of traffic over the first few weeks and communicate any needed adjustments to improve the experience for all involved.

The SMS loop will be used for bussing beginning in 2022-23. Car-riders will utilize the parking lot to the west of the stadium and drop in front of SMS and pull through the stadium loop back onto Hall Street.

Red designates car traffic (with a coned drop off zone in orange).
