In case you were thinking otherwise, this message was created to share a wonderful effort that students in Mrs. Ingham’s class experienced–not an autobiography. As you might imagine, our teachers are pretty talented in creating opportunities for students to get to know one another–especially as we all begin a new school year. Mrs. Ingham’s idea involved the creation of “All About Me” bags. The students brought in items to share with their class and teacher. They were guided by directions to include a picture or drawing of themselves as a baby, a picture or drawing of their families, lists of their favorite foods and something special to them.
I suspect that everyone reading this column will agree that this was a perfect way to start the year and a fun exercise in getting to know one another. For those not aware, these are Mrs. Ingham’s first days at Holloway, so she, too, understood what it feels like to be new. She came to us from Dorr Elementary, and we are very happy to have her as a Hornet.
