SCHOOL NEWS

Happy fall. Common for this time of year, we went from 90s to 60s in a matter of a day. Many students have not adjusted to the changes when preparing for school. Please begin putting sweatshirts in your child’s bookbag, and it would be a good idea to put their names on the tag. Our lost and found is filling up quickly.

The Club’s Choice fundraiser packets went home on Monday. The deadline has been extended to Monday, October 3. HPC Spirit Wear is expected to come in some time this week. I will send home a notice when this happens.

Finally, we continue to ask that you do not drop your student off in front of the school. This actually slows down the arrival process, and it creates a major safety concern for students. Thank you for your support.

7:15 a.m.–drop off/doors open.

7:30 a.m.–classes start. 2:15 p.m.–dismissal. Lunch times: 10:35 a.m. to 12:35 p.m. (30 minute blocks).

Recess times: 10:15 a.m. to 12:25 p.m. (20 minute blocks).

School phone: 419-8675655.

Absentee line: 419-8675657.

HPC Fund-raiser Student packets finally went home on Monday. As a result, the deadline has been extended to Monday, October 3, for returning orders and materials.

Remember, any student who joins the clubhouse and sends 10 or more messages will receive their first Cosmic Trooper collectible as well as be qualified for grand prize drawings for game consoles or $350 cash. Also, we can’t forget about any student who sells 18 or more items–they get the Hummer limo lunch.

Gamers of the Week

Each week our teams nominate one student as their gamer of the week. The category they are being selected for is adaptability. The following were this week’s gamer of the week. Fourth grade teams: Sonic Racing, Aurora; Animal Crossing, Sofia, and Marvelous, Makenzie.

Fifth grade teams: Team Legend, Presley; Pac Peeps, Emily; Minecraft, Colby, and Team Splatoon, Kiarha.
