Crissey Elementary

SCHOOL NEWS

February 6 through 10 was National School Counseling Week. The school counselor plays an important role in each child’s academic success. School counselors provide a variety of services such as academic support, communication, problem solving and character education. Crissey Elementary School is fortunate to have the talent and caring presence of Angie Reynolds, as our school counselor.

Mrs. Reynolds has been with Springfield Local School District for 22 years.

She started her career in the district as a math teacher at Springfield High School. She has worked as a school counselor at SHS and Holland Elementary. Mrs. Reynolds plays a major part in our PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) Program, coordinates the monthly character days, Start with Hello week, Red Ribbon week, character education classes and does a fabulous job making sure that all the state and district testing in the building is well organized and goes smoothly. School counselors have a very important job and Mrs. Reynolds has a passion for helping our students, as well as our school.

Here is one of our most interesting facts: Principal Oatis Amick and Mrs. Reynolds were in the same first grade class in elementary school.
