The Gathering of Quilters will meet on Thursday, May 18, at Holland Free Methodist Church, 6605 Angola Road, Holland. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the meeting to follow at 7 p.m.
The meeting will be the judging of the challenge quilts made by members for the Ohio Quilts of Valor. A Quilt of Valor is a quality, handmade quilt awarded to a service member or veteran who has been touched by war. The quilt is a gesture of gratitude for their service and sacrifice to the nation.
During the meeting, there also will be an installation of officers and a strip quilts demonstration.
There is a $5 fee for nonmembers.
