In observance of National Gun Violence Awareness Weekend, the Actors Collaborative Toledo (ACT) will close out the season with “On the Exhale,” a onewoman play written by Martin Zimmerman. The performance is on Sunday, June 4, at 3 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 316 Adams Street, Toledo.
The show is directed by Jeffrey Albright and stars Marissa Rex as a woman facing an unthinkable tragedy. With her world torn apart, she finds herself caught in the cross hairs of power lost and, very possibly, regained.
After the performance there will be a talkback with the director, cast and community members who are working to combat area gun violence.
Tickets are $15 for general admission or $10 for seniors and students, and may be purchased in advance at act419.org or at the door one hour before the performance. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local organization fighting gun violence.
