Let’s Build and the Ohio Innocence Project are partnering with St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 428 North Erie Street, and HeART Gallery for a Party In The Parking Lot event on Sunday, July 16 from 4 to 7 p.m.
Attendees are invited to an outdoor event to make beds for children in Lucas County who are do not have one. Mattresses and bedding will be provided by a grant through the Zoar Lutheran Church Foundation of Perrysburg.
There will be live music by the Cheeks, along with picnic food served from the church’s grill for a donation. Guests are invited to bring their beverage of choice, as well as lawn chairs to sit in.
The Ohio Innocence Project has invited Dean Gillespie to speak about his experience after being wrongly convicted and serving 20 years in prison. Upon his release, he purchased and restored a camper with the dream of traveling Route 66. Mr. Gillespie now speaks about his experience in the prison system.
