The eighth annual 5K On The Fairway is Saturday, August 12, at Fallen Timbers Fairways, Waterville.
The event offers a 5K or one-mile cross-country style route that takes participants on, over and around the golf course with awards, raffles and more.
“We are excited to be part of this event and can’t wait to welcome all of the participants with some of our education ambassadors” said Allison Aey, Nature’s Nursery executive director.
The nursery is receiving a portion of the proceeds along with Cancer Connection of Northwest Ohio.
“We will be there from 7 to 9 a.m. as the runners and walkers head out for the course,” she said.

The cost is $25 with an increase after August 6. The check-in for runners begins at 7 a.m.
Anyone wanting to support the cause but unable attend, can enter the raffles online for a chance to win Bash at The Bay tickets, a Blackstone Grill, a bourbon bundle and more. Visit the race website for more information.
