Holland Intermediate

The staff at Holland Intermediate are excited about the return of two items this year. The first item is a character award known as the Lil Devil of a Difference. The staff is asked to nominate students they see following the Holland Way and making a difference in the classroom. Once a student is nominated, they are called down to the office, and Principal Evans reads what the teacher wrote about them and presents a certificate. Additionally, each student is given a wristband that says Lil Devil of a Difference. There were 19 nominations in September. They are Tony A., Alexa C., Savannah S., Ava R., Maya T., Brayden H., Nash H., Colton H., Jai S., Brandon B., Paige S., Gage W., Alea C., Ronin R., Rylee T., Arianna M., Camden B., Carter L. and James R.

The second item is the return of our music “informance” organized by Mrs. Mohr. This is where music students will perform and showcase their musicianship “The Holland Way.” No costumes, props, risers or microphones needed. They will demonstrate what a typical day in music looks like, sounds like and feels like. The first of three informances is Friday, November 3 and schedules are sent out to all the students involved this trimester. It is performances like this one that helps make Springfield Schools so talented in middle school and high school.
