Holland Intermediate

SCHOOL NEWS

Holland Intermediate is having its first of three character breakfasts on Friday, October 27.

There were 51 students nominated by their teams in the months of September and October for character of the week. Students in September were chosen for showing adaptability, which is one of the pillars for Springfield’s portrait of a graduate.

These students respond to feedback, balance diverse views and are flexible in all situations. The theme for October is self-control. As students navigate through this phase of their life, they begin to gain more independence and control of their movement and emotions.

Self-control encompasses what it means to follow the Holland Way to be respectful, responsible, prepared and safe.

The light breakfast is provided by the Holland Parent Council and each student is recognized for their accomplishments as well as provided a hand-written letter from their teacher. The event takes place from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m., in the west gym of the middle school.
