Several hundred Holland area residents turned out June 7 for the first film of the 2024 summer Picture in the Park series, the animated Disney feature “Cinderella.”
The Village of Holland, along with the Dwelling Place, Compelled Church and Wonder Ministries host the monthly film series at Strawberry Acres Park.
Family activities began at 7 p.m., and the movie was shown at dusk. Movie goers enjoyed popcorn, hotdogs and beverages for free and for a nominal charge, candy and carbonated beverages could be purchased.
“It was a great night at the first Picture in the Park,” said Roger Trowbridge, one of the organizers. “Cinderella showed up and gave away prizes.”
Holland Mayor Ryan Spangler proclaimed Prince Tyler and Princess Amelia, above, as wearing the best costumes for the night.
The next picture in the park will be at 7 p.m., Friday, July 12, at Strawberry Acres Park. The film will be “Lilo and Stitch.”
