World Blood Donor Day was June 14 and the American Red Cross stresses that blood and platelet donors are critically needed right now to combat a drastic shortfall in donations over the last several weeks.
The Red Cross reminds donors that with busy seasonal activities and weather always present, it’s vital donors make and keep appointments now to fight any challenges that could pose a concern to the blood supply as summer rolls on.
All who come to give through June 30 will receive a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of choice.
