Holiday Fireworks Displays

Area communities will be hosting Independence Day Fireworks at 10 p.m. over the next week. They are: Saturday, June 29

•Springfield Township Freedom Celebration at Community Homecoming Park, Angola Road. Family-friendly activities begin at 5 p.m. and are free.

•Washington Township Thunder Over the River at Shoreland Fire Station, Shoreland Avenue.

Wednesday, July 3

•Toledo Mud Hens, Rock N Blast at Fifth Third Field

•BG Boom Festival and Fireworks, Wood County Fairgrounds, Bowling Green. Activities begin at 4 p.m. and are free and open to the public.

•Maumee/Perrysburg at Orleans Park, visible on both sides of the Maumee River. Parking is prohibited at Orleans Park, Perrysburg, but spectators can set up chairs and view the show from the bridge by entering on the Maumee side.

•Sylvania Star Spangled Celebration at Centennial Terrace, Centennial Road. Activities run from 7 to 11 p.m. General admission is $7 for ages 12 and up, $5 for children under 12. Fireworks are viewable from Sylvania Pacesetter Park. Parking is $5 at both venues.

Thursday, July 4

•Toledo Fireworks in the 419 will feature food trucks at Glass City Metropark and on Summit Street in front of Promenade Park.

•Port Clinton at Waterworks Park/city beach with activities throughout the day.

•Put-in-Bay Boom at the Bay celebration at Peace Garden Lawn.

Friday, July 5

•Whitehouse Founders’ Day Celebration at Blue Creek Metropark and Whitehouse Village Hall. Event begins at 5 p.m. with food trucks, live music and more.

Saturday, July 6

•Waterville Fireworks at Waterville Primary School. Activities begin at 5:30 with food trucks, music, glow vendors, inflatables and 50/50 raffle to support Cub Scout Pack 101.
