‘The Sound of Music’ at Grand Rapids Town Hall stage July 12-14

Drama musical classic “The Sound of Music” will be at the Grand Rapids Town Hall stage this weekend.

The production is presented by the Grand Rapids Historical Society in honor of Sam Macera, a Waterville resident who was extremely active in the local theatre community for the past several decades. Macera directed the summer musical for 25 years straight prior to his passing last year.

Friday and Saturday’s shows will be at 7 p.m., while Sunday’s show will be a matinee at 2 p.m.

Tickets will be sold at the door or can be bought by visiting downtown Grand Rapids and heading to Village Orchard at Carson’s Block. Adult tickets will be $12, while students and seniors will be $10.

The show will be coinciding with Grand Rapids’ Rally by the River Days, where numerous other events will be taking place throughout the weekend. For a full list of events, go to visitgrandrapids ohio.com.
