Springfield Township will host its inaugural Night on the Township at 6 p.m., Friday, August 16. The event will take place at Community Homecoming Park, 7807 Angola Road.
The end-of-summer bash will feature entertainment by the gazebo, local food trucks, casino tables, an adults-only beer garden and a live concert by Phil Barone and the Cruisers.
The band’s performance will include a tribute to Jim Morrison and the Doors.
Parking and admission are free. Visitors are asked to bring their own chairs or blankets to watch the performance.
Organizers express appreciation to sponsors including the Holland Springfield Chamber of Commerce, Countertop Shop, Elizabeth Scott Community, Sam’s Club, Savage, Sheetz and White Family Dealerships.
