The Grand Rapids Arts Council will host its annual Jazz at the Rapids, Sunset Jazz and Art Festival, Sunday, August 18, from 2 p.m. to dusk, on the towpath, downtown Grand Rapids. Admission is free.
Featured performers include: Lake Erie Jazz quartet, from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m.; Morgen Hammer quintet, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.; The 6th Edition, from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. and Keigo Hirakawa, from 6 p.m. to dusk There will be juried art for sale.
Food will be offered by local Boy Scouts. Adult beverages, water and sodas also will be available.
Those attending may bring lawn chairs or blankets.
