The Black Swamp Hosta and Daylily Society daylily auction is set for Saturday, August 17, at Toledo Botanical Garden Metropark, 5403 Elmer Drive, in the courtyard behind the conference center, beginning at 12:30 p.m.
The sale is open to the public and gives visitors a chance to purchase newer, expensive daylilies that one cannot find in local garden centers or nurseries. Members have grown the plants as part of the daylily host program.
Purchases can be made by cash or check. Credit cards are not accepted.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.
Society members will be available to answer questions about the perennials.
