Mercy Health to host community Health and Wellness Fair Sept. 14

With the goal of making access to health and wellness easier, Mercy Health will host a Health and Wellness Fair, a community-focused event dedicated to promoting health, wellness, and preventive care.

The event will be held Saturday, September 14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Mercy Health–Sylvania Family Medicine, 4126 North Holland-Sylvania Avenue.

The day-long event is geared to provide health and wellness services and resources in a fun, familyfriendly environment. Attendees will have the opportunity to receive a variety of free health-related tests. Additionally, they will be able to engage with several community and healthcare organizations.

Health services available during the Health and Wellness Fair include:

•Free health exams

•Free vision screenings

•Free blood pressure checks

•Free blood sugar checks

•Free lead testing

•Mercy Health Mobil Van on site

•Mercy Health Mobile Mammography Van on site The fair also will include live entertainment from local high school bands and cheer teams, food trucks offering a variety of delicious options, free giveaways and raffle drawings, and fun activities for kids.

A number of local partners make this event possible including: Mercy College of Ohio, the Ability Center, the YMCA, U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, Toledo-Lucas County Health Department, Let’s Build, the Fair Housing Center, American Red Cross, Metroparks Toledo, Operation Clean Duds, Heartbeat of Toledo, Toledo Lucas County Public Library, Nationwide Children’s Hospital–Toledo, United Way and Traumatic Brain Injury Resource Center.
