From the Desk of Principal Andy Evans Holland Intermediate Kicks Off Running Club and Welcomes Toledo Zoo for Project Prairie Lessons Holland Intermediate recently held the first event of its new running club, with an impressive turnout of 66 student runners. This afterschool initiative encourages students to stay active and enjoy the benefits of running. Many of these dedicated runners are preparing to compete in Dave’s Running cross country series on Tuesdays, September 17, 24 and October 1. We are excited to watch their progress and cheer them on during the upcoming races. In addition to the running club’s success, Holland Intermediate was thrilled to welcome the Toledo Zoo to our school earlier this week. On Monday and Tuesday, the zoo’s educators engaged students in Project Prairie lessons, designed to teach about the importance of prairie ecosystems. Ms. Leafgren’s fifth grade class had an enriching experience, learning about the environment and gaining a deeper appreciation for our natural world.
This exciting start to the school year reflects the diverse and engaging opportunities available for our students at Holland Intermediate.
