Holland Intermediate Celebrates “Start With Hello Week” with Spirit and Success Recently at Holland Intermediate, we celebrated “Start With Hello Week,” a national initiative designed to foster kindness, empathy and connection among students. The message is simple, yet powerful: encouraging our students to greet one another, promote inclusivity and cultivate positive communication skills. Throughout the week, students are learning the importance of understanding empathy, practicing positive communication and appreciating diversity within our school community.

Each day brought a new opportunity to engage in these lessons while adding a bit of fun. Students embraced themed dress days, showing up in their favorite pajamas, sports jerseys and even dressing for success, creating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere throughout the school. These themes were not just about fun, but served as a way for students to express themselves and connect with their peers.

Beyond the classroom, the school was well-represented in the first race of the Dave’s Running Cross Country Series, held on Tuesday night at Homecoming Park. We had an impressive 43 runners sign up.

At Holland Intermediate, we continue to promote an environment where students can grow academically, socially and emotionally. “Start With Hello Week” was just one of the many ways we are working to ensure that each student feels valued and included.
