Dental Excellence Group is offering local trick-ortreaters a chance to swap candy for cash while supporting U.S. troops serving overseas.
Through Thursday, November 7, children can bring unopened Halloween candy to any Dental Excellence office and earn $1 per pound of candy, up to $10.
Participating office locations include Sylvania, Napoleon and Delta.
All collected candy will be donated and shipped in care packages to U.S. troops serving overseas. Last year, more than 300 pounds of candy was collected and donated. In addition to candy, the offices are accepting care package items such as individual snack packs, socks, hygiene products and letters of appreciation.
