Acknowledging that teenagers are often overlooked during holiday charitable efforts, Blush Aesthetics LLC has decided to fill this gap by collecting donations to be gifted through Lucas County Children Services, the Gift of Joy Holiday Gift Drive. Items such as gift cards, hair products and accessories, cosmetics, beauty and personal care items, will not only bring smiles to the faces of teenagers but also empower them to feel confident and cared for.
“We believe that every teenager deserves to experience the magic of the holiday season, and our aim is to help make that happen,” says Dr. Erin Hennessey, owner of Blush Aesthetics. “Through this initiative, we hope to not only provide material gifts, but also send a message of love and support to teenagers in our community who can sometimes be overlooked with donation drives focused on toys and gifts for younger populations.”
“LCCS is grateful that Blush has stepped up to help fill this important need and make sure ‘tweens and teens feel the love the Gift Of Joy brings each holiday season,” added Kevin Milliken, LCCS public information officer.
To participate in this campaign, individuals and businesses are encouraged to drop off their donations at Blush Aesthetics in Perrysburg, 7015 Lighthouse Way, Suite 300, or their Ottawa Hills location, 4334 West Central Avenue, Unit 219. Donations are being accepted through December 15. Requested items include gift cards to teen relevant stores, hair products, tools and accessories, shower gels and lotions, cosmetics and skin care and products made for ethnic needs. “We know some of these items are just basic self-care products, but we hope that donors can get creative and mix up the basic items with the extra fun items to really make the recipients feel good,” continued Hennessey.
As an added incentive, everyone who donates items will be entered into a raffle to win free services from Blush Aesthetics.
