Notre Dame Academy’s Speech and Debate team recently hosted its annual Turducken Tournament, bringing together 17 schools and 100 competitors from Ohio’s Speech and Debate Association.
This year, the Notre Dame Academy team was honored by the National Speech and Debate Association, earning membership in the prestigious 100 Club for their achievements in competition, leadership and service.
Launched more than 30 years ago, the team is one of only two teams of its kind in the Diocese of Toledo.
Under the guidance of Marisa Spinazze, Kat Grilliot, Lindsey Bronder-Krile, Dr. Rupert Watson and Megan Wolfinger, the team continues to excel. Their dedication to teaching essential life skills–such as communication, research, listening, writing and organization–empowers students to harness the power of words to shape their worlds.
