Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful and Lott Industries will be hosting two holiday recycling drop-off events in January. Residents can take advantage of this easy and responsible way to dispose of holiday-related items that cannot be recycled curbside.
Recycling opportunities will be offered on January 9 and 21, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Lott Industries, 3350 Hill Avenue, Toledo. Drop-off will be on the west side of the building.
Accepted items include:
•Artificial Christmas trees
•String lights
•Packaging Styrofoam (#6 only.) Packing peanuts, food containers and foam are not accepted.
A minimum cash donation of $5 is requested to support the recycling efforts.
The holidays often leave households with items that don’t belong in regular recycling bins. These events will provide a convenient way to recycle these items, keeping them out of landfills.
Through partnerships with specialty recyclers, these materials will be responsibly processed into new products, helping to conserve resources and protect the environment.
