The Rosary Cathedral Concert Series will continue on Sunday, February 2, at 3:00 p.m., with Svyati Duo. The duo consists of Julian Collings, organist, and Rebecca Hepplewhite, cello.
The London-based duo has performed in venues of all sizes, from churches and town halls to major cathedrals and concert halls. Recent highlights include performances at the Hong Kong Cultural Center, where they performed to an audience of 1,600, St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, Tokyo University Concert Hall and a concert at Worcester Cathedral, which included a performance of their own transcription of Elgar’s Cello Concerto. They also have produced several recordings.
They were first scheduled to perform at Rosary Cathedral in February 2021, but were cancelled due to COVID travel restrictions. Now they will perform with the cathedral’s newly restored E.M. Skinner organ.
