Spring is arriving early at HeART Gallery with the Spring Arts Festival on Saturday, March 8, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This marks the third year for the event that celebrates artwork by members of Athena Arts Society, Ohio’s oldest art organization for women. The juried art exhibit features paintings, sculpture, photography and ceramics. Most items are for sale. The exhibit also challenges local Perrysburg Garden Club members and designers to create a table setting inspired by the artwork. This is an opportunity to showcase talent and expertise in flower arranging, table setting and design, with spring-themed tables.
The event includes music by “Tapestry” harp and guitar duo, with food and drink stations. A demonstration area includes new topics every 30 minutes: spring floral arranging, brewing fruit infused tea, how to use essential oils, making a small kitchen herb garden. Guests are invited to “sip and stroll” three floors of the beautiful historic St. Paul’s church building with food, art, demo and music surprises around every corner. Reservations for the festival are required by contacting Kate Philabaum at kate@stpaulstoledo.org. Cost is $25. For more information, visit heartgalleryandstudios. com. HeART Gallery is in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 428 North Erie Street, Toledo. There is free parking adjacent to the building, which is handicap accessible.
