The Wolcott Guild Lecture Series begins Thursday, March 6, with a presentation on Benjamin F. Stickney, Toledo’s early activist in the Maumee Valley, by historian and author Kenneth Dickson. Presented in conjunction with the Toledo Lucas County Public Library System, lectures are at 10 a.m., at the Maumee Branch Library, 501 River Road.
Scheduled Lectures Include:
•March 13–The Battle of and for Fallen Timbers by Dave Westrick, historian and author;
•March 20–Early Stories of Ohio’s Western Reserve 1800 Settlement Problems by Frank Kuron, historian and author;
•March 27–The Preservation of Fort Meigs and Its Burial Ground by Gary L. Franks, historian and author.
Admission is free for all lectures. In case of inclement weather and Maumee schools are closed, the lecture will be canceled.
