On March 18, Leadership Toledo Education Day held a showcase for members at the Toledo Public Library and brought together a panel of local superintendents to share insights on the current and future state of education.
Moderator was Kevin Parkins from Central Catholic. The superintendent panel included Matt Geha, Springfield Local Schools; Dr. Romules Durant, Toledo Public Schools, and Veronica Motley, Sylvania Public Schools.
The goal of this discussion was to encourage and educate Leadership Toledo members, helping them grow in their understanding of the opportunities and challenges faced by educational leaders. The event covered key topics, including mental health in schools, the role of cell phones in education, the long-term impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in classrooms and strategies for inspiring the next generation to pursue careers in education.
Thank you to Leadership Toledo for fostering this conversation and to the superintendents for sharing their expertise.
