Central Catholic presents ‘The Little Mermaid’ on May 2-4

The Central Catholic High School music department will present its 96th consecutive spring musical production, “The Little Mermaid,” May 2, 3 and 4 at the Valentine Theatre. Show times are Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets can be bought at valentinetheatre. com/events.html or by calling 419-242-2787 or visiting the box office at 410 Adams Street in downtown Toledo.

Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. The musical is the story of a rebellious 16year-old mermaid, Ariel, who is fascinated by life on land. On one of her visits to the surface, which are forbidden by her controlling father, King Triton, she falls for a human prince. Determined to be with her new love, Ariel makes a dangerous deal with a sea witch to trade her beautiful voice for human legs.
