Athlete of the Week
Camren Whitmire
Baseball player Camren Whitmire is an Athlete of the Week for Springfield High School.
Cam is off to a great start this season, helping the team win two of the first three games to open the season.
For the week, he had a .500 batting average with three doubles, three RBIs and four stolen bases. Cam also has been a very good defensive outfielder.
“Cam is an outstanding student athlete. He is a high character person and a great teammate. He has also worked very hard in the weight room which has helped him hit the ball with more power this season,” said Coach Dave Whitmire.
