The Toledo Area Polka Society (TAPS) announces the 10th annual Polish Summer Picnic, sponsored by Genoa Bank, will be held Friday and Saturday, June 13 and 14, at Oak Shade Grove Pavilion, 3624 Seaman Road, Oregon.
Setting attendance records each year, this authentic Polish picnic provides an entertaining venue for celebrating Polish heritage and culture. It features four nationally known polka bands: Lenny Gomulks’s Chicago Push, E-Z Tones, DynaBrass and Polka Family, with a special performance from the Toledo Polish-American Concert Band.
The picnic also features authentic Polish foods from Stanley’s Market, Toledo Swiss Society, Focaccia’s and B’s Pierogi. An expanded bar will feature Polish beers, including Zywiec, Warka Lite Lager, Perla, Okocim, Kozel and Tyskie. Also available are apparel and souvenirs, as well as coffee from Tiedtke’s Roast House and Coffee Shop.
Genoa Bank is once again the premier sponsor.
Admission is $10 and children under 16 are free. Hours are Friday, 5 to 11 p.m., and Saturday, noon to 11 p.m.
Lighted, secure, free parking with shuttle service will be available.
