The Victory Center and Adventus Climbing announce their partnership for a special registration event on Saturday, June 14, from 3 to 6 p.m., at Adventus Climbing, 2900 North Reynolds Road, Toledo. This event kicks off a series of “happy hour” gatherings planned over the next three months to promote the Victory Center’s signature fund-raiser, Over the Edge for Victory.
Now in its ninth year, Over the Edge for Victory offers participants the opportunity to rappel 16 stories down a downtown Toledo skyscraper while supporting cancer patients throughout their journey. No experience necessary. During the June 14 event, Adventus Climbing will offer 50 percent off climbing and rentals to all attendees, with free climbing available to those who have registered for the fund-raiser.
Registration is open at https://ote4victory.org/ On September 6, the fund-raiser unites major donors, sponsors, thrillseekers and cancer survivors around a shared mission: ensuring no one faces cancer alone. Participants commit to raising a minimum of $1,000 for the Victory Center, which provides no-cost support services to cancer patients and their families.
“This new partnership with Adventus Climbing helps us reach the perfect audience for our one-of-akind fund-raiser,” said Dianne Barndt, executive director at the Victory Center.
The June 14 registration event is open to the public, offering an opportunity to learn more about the center’s services while enjoying Adventus Climbing’s facilities at a special rate.
The Victory Center was founded in 1996 to support and educate cancer patients and those closest to them by providing programs and services aimed at meeting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those affected by cancer. Services are provided at no cost to patients, and all donations are fully tax deductible.
