9 a.m. The Hope Chest, offering clothing and small household items, at Hope United Methodist Church, 10610 Waterville Street, Whitehouse, until noon.

10 a.m. 577 Foundation will host Mixtape: Community Singing, until 11 a.m. The free event is open to all ages and no experience is needed. Registration is appreciated but not required, and optional donations are welcome. 5:15 p.m. Waterville Historical Society’s Haunted Waterville Tours on select days through Thursday, October 30. Tours are set for Saturdays, October 4 and 25 and Thursdays, October 16 and 30, at 5:15, 6, 6:45, 7:30 and 8:15 p.m. Purchase tickets at watervillehistory.org.

5:30 p.m. Metroparks Toledo will host Nature at Night, until 8:30 p.m., at Pearson Metropark tennis court shelter/parking lot. A free, family-friendly event featuring activities inspired by some favorite creatures of the night. Children will make origami bats, dance like a firefly and complete challenges to see how their skills and senses stack up to nocturnal wildlife. No reservations needed.

Monday, October 6

6 p.m. ProMedica weight loss surgery support group at the ProMedica Health and Wellness Center, education conference rooms 1 and 2, 5700 Monroe Street, Sylvania. The group is designed for patients who have undergone weight loss surgery or for community members seeking more information about the procedure.

7 p.m. NAMI Greater Toledo Connections peer support group, at 4334 Secor Road, Toledo, is for adults 18 and older living with a mental health diagnosis.
