The Lucas County Children Services, Friends of LCCS, The Believe Center and community partners will hold the LCCS Trunk or Treat, at The Believe Center, 1 Aurora Gonzalez Drive, Toledo (near Anthony Wayne Trail and South Avenue), on Saturday, October 18, from noon to 2 p.m.
This will provide a safe, daytime trick-or-treat opportunity for LCCS children and families in the community, as well as the surrounding Historic South End neighborhood.
More than 75 “trunks” will line the grounds, along with a Halloween-themed maker space, games, giveaways and other surprises in the gym. More than 2,000 children in costume are expected. An estimated 250,000 pieces of candy will be handed out. This is an entirely donation-driven, volunteer effort, including high school students contributing 250-plus service hours. Partners also provide information on vital services they offer.
