Springfield High School’s Class of 2026 kicked off their day before dawn Thursday morning, gathering on campus for the annual Senior Sunrise—a heartfelt tradition that celebrates the start of their final year together.
As the sky brightened over the tennis courts, seniors filled the space with laughter, music and plenty of Blue Devil spirit. Students enjoyed a full breakfast spread, complete with pastries, hot beverages and orange juice, then gathered for photos at a festive balloon backdrop decorated with “2026” signs.
The event was coordinated by the Springfield Academic Boosters Parent Club, whose volunteers arrived early to set up tables, decorations and refreshments.
“It’s a great way to start senior year together,” one student shared. “There’s something special about watching the sunrise with the people you’ve grown up with.” By the time classes began at 8 a.m., the group had captured dozens of photos, shared countless smiles and built one more memory on the path to graduation.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Academic Boosters for their time, creativity and dedication in keeping this tradition alive for Springfield’s seniors.
