Arakyta, a provider of IT strategy, managed services and cybersecurity, announced the acquisition of RenTech, a Toledo-based IT services firm known for its expertise in the dental industry and compliance-driven technology solutions.

The acquisition expands Arakyta’s footprint in the midwest while reinforcing its position as one of the nation’s fastestgrowing IT service providers.

Founded more than a decade ago, RenTech has built a reputation for technical competence, reliability and responsive support, serving more than 120 organizations across Ohio and Michigan, with remote support capabilities nationwide. Its services include HIPAA-compliant data backup, cloud hosting, Office 365 administration, server virtualization and specialized IT support for healthcare and dental practices.

“RenTech has earned the trust of businesses across the region through exceptional service and a true commitment to their clients’ success,” said Dennis Schroder, CEO of Arakyta. “By joining forces, we’re expanding the scale and reach of our customer service, bringing the same high-touch, relationshipdriven support to even more clients across the country.”

As part of this growth, Arakyta will expand its building in downtown Toledo to accommodate the new team from RenTech. The expansion will include a 2,000-square-foot stateof- the-art facility, positioning it as one of the most sophisticated IT facilities in the region. This investment underscores Arakyta’s commitment to both national expansion and its local roots in northwest Ohio.

RenTech’s Chief Technology Officer and founding partner, Jon Kolmar, will continue to play a key role as part of the Arakyta team.

“Dennis and I have known each other for decades, so this partnership feels like a natural evolution. Joining Arakyta allows us to extend our commitment to service to a broader client base while giving our existing clients access to even greater resources,” said Kolmar.

With the acquisition of RenTech and its planned facility expansion, Arakyta continues its trajectory of becoming a national leader in IT services and support, while making Toledo a hub for innovation and talent development.
