On Wednesday, November 19, at 7:30 p.m., the music business technology students from Owens Community College will present the second concert of the 10th annual, 2025-26, Accent on the Arts concert series, featuring La Nueva Onda.
La Nueva Onda is a Tejano/ Conjunto band, comprised of five members from the southeast Michigan and northwest Ohio areas. The band was originally formed by two brothers, Herbey Atkinson and Paul Cervantes, in 2001. After a long hiatus, the band reformed, strengthening their sound with another brother, Eduardo Atkinson, and musical brothers, Sammy Gonzalez and Fernando Hernandez. Together they have brought La Nueva Onda’s sound to a new level and have continued to create a following in their community and surrounding areas. Each member prides themselves on delivering high-energy, heart-felt performances.

Accent on the Arts is a free concert series designed, booked, promoted and presented by music business technology students. The concert will be in the 526-seat, Mainstage Theatre in the Center for Fine and Performing Arts on the Owens Community College Toledo Campus, at 7270 Biniker Road, Perrysburg.
